Matlab/Python Developer, Senior

As a GEOINT Developer, you will directly support National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) requirements with imagery analysis through software development and subject matter expertise. In this role you will help support the transformation of the agency into the premier GEOINT provider.


  • Responsible for day-to-day support to image scientists in developing automated image processing and data exploitation algorithms using MatLab and Python
  • Perform code development, integration, and deployment of algorithms and applications for data analysis and exploitation
  • Develop and update OGC standard interfaces to integrate application with Cloud Services
  • Ensure compliance with IC Cloud Services
  • Develop/Optimize updates to installation and ingest scripts based on NCE architecture
  • Provide ad hoc technical support
  • Coordination with analyst/scientist working groups
  • Coordination of TEMs with external users and data providers
  • Work locations in Herndon, VA and Springfield, VA


  • Punctuality to work each day and prepared to work scheduled work hours

  • Responsible for thoughtful adherence to all SNC Policies, Procedures, and Compliance regulations (internal and external)
  • Responsible for timely execution of all personnel-related activities such as Time Sheet completion, Performance Evaluations, Salary Reviews, Succession Planning, etc.

  • Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance; Candidate may be subject to a CI polygraph
  • 10+ years of related experience
  • Experience developing scripts in both MatLab and Python
  • Experience in data mining, using OGC services, and building/using APIs
  • BS in Engineering, Math, Computer Science or related technical discipline
  • In-depth knowledge of code development and deployment
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with shifting work priorities
  • Creative thinking; formulation of ideas/strategies to react to a variety of existing and emerging acquisition complexities and Customer Priorities
  • Flexibility and Time Management - Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment with constantly shifting priorities and needs
  • Experience designing and developing software
  • Ability to rapidly work with minimal supervision on projects involving both small and large teams
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment

•         This position requires current/active Top Secret SCI U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment.
