Cloud Systems Administrator II

Smartronix, Inc., is currently seeking a Cloud Systems Administrator II. Mid-level position and usually FT is used to handle calls and level 1, II and III type tickets as well as escalations that may require a higher skill level. These tasks will be able to be completed with no supervision by CSA LEAD but they may assist as needed for escalations. Domain admin or elevated privileges will be granted for these users once training is completed and confirmed. CSAII may have skill to take on level III tasks without assistance. Natural Career path is to CSA 3, CSA LEAD, Solutions Architect, Deputy or Manager Roles or outside of O&M. #CJPOST

  • Perform a variety of tasks with minimal guidance and supervision

Duties include:

  • Senior level system management tasks to aid the continuity of operations;
  • Discretionary management of installing software and software upgrades;
  • Independently analyzing, scheduling and performing software installations and upgrades, and upholding them in accordance with established policies and procedures;
  • Performing analytical system testing, operations, administration and maintenance;
  • Solely identifying system performance risks and problems, analyzing and developing and presenting solutions.
Required Skills
**Shift Work Required** (shifts are defined as an 8 hours time block within the below hours)
 
Shifts available:
1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 5:00 PM
 
2nd Shift: 2:00 PM - 2:00 AM EST
 
3rd Shift: 10:00 PM - 8:00 AM EST

 

The Cloud Systems Administrator II will support a 24/7/365 Operations center than handle calls, tickets, service requests and handle incident escalation/management.

Skills/Personal Requirements

  • 2 + years’ experience with the following:

    • AWS and Azure experience
    • Managing/maintaining Windows 2008/2012 Server Active Directory
    • Group Policy Management
    • MS Windows IIS Web Servers
    • MS Exchange servers
    • Patching and Updating Microsoft Servers. (WSUS, BigFix, SCCM, etc.)
    • MS SQL Server administration using MSSQL Management Studio
    • Defining, monitoring metrics, and logging strategies across multiple application, systems and services
Required Experience
  • 2-4 Years experience as a Systems Operator or Engineer within a Cloud environment
  • ASS degree, or equivalent experience
  • Operations center, Enterprise service level experience is required
  • Ability to obtain a public trust clearance required
